DE SOTO BALL

This glittering affair has been one of Manatee County’s most prestigious social events for several decades.

The Crewe of De Soto invites all to an elegant, black-tie, evening where the Hernando de Soto Historical Society will crown a Queen and invest the newest Hernando de Soto in grand style with pomp and circumstance. Krewe members from all over the world will come to celebrate with the new Hernando de Soto and his Crewe. In attendance this year are Krewes from Tampa, Fort Walton Beach, Panama City, Pensacola Beach, Tallahassee, St. Paul Minnesota, and Barcarrota, Spain.

While guests will be dressed to the nines, visiting Krewes will be dressed in their official Krewe uniforms. These exquisite costumes are truly a sight to see! With people dressed up like the founders of their cities from the 1500’s, and personalized jeweled dress trains, the De Soto Ball is truly a unique experience.

This glittering affair has been one of Manatee County’s most prestigious social events for several decades. Admission is open to the public, offering a Dinner, Ball & Show ticket, or just a Ball & Show ticket and an open bar. If you purchase a dinner ticket, you will have closer seating and earlier admission. This option allows you to enjoy a plated grilled 8oz Tenderloin Filet, House Salad, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Mixed Grilled Vegetables, and a Dinner Roll.

The 2023 Queen’s Court ladies, Briana Bird, Presley Blunkall, Alexandria Cruz, Julian Grover, Kaylah Gunst, Merissa Mahoney, Shea Stockton, Brianna Peterson, and Rylan Walker, have spent four months preparing for this big night. Out of these nine girls, a Queen and Princess will be crowned. You can join De Soto’s new Royal Family and Crewe for dancing, fun, and entertainment lasting throughout the night.
